Day 1: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya

Arrive in Nairobi, and then transfer to your luxurious accommodations in one of Kenya’s most famous hotels. Fairmont The Norfolk


Day 2: Amboseli National Park | Game Below Snowy Peaks

Fly from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park and continue to your luxury, tented safari camp at the base of soaring, snowtopped Mount Kilimanjaro. After settling into the scenic property, set out in search of big game. There is a particularly large elephant population in the park. As you explore the acacia woodland, scrub brush, freshwater swamps and open plains, watch for hippos, buffalo, hyenas and many species of birds. Tortilis Camp | Meals: B L D


Day 3: Amboseli National Park | Surveying the Sunset

Spend the day on exciting game drives, looking for lions and cheetahs as they hide from the heat or amble out to hunt. See the warm, golden sun set over the grasslands and mighty mountain from atop prehistoric Observation Hill. Tortilis Camp | Meals: B L D


Day 4: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy | Slumber Under Canvas

Fly to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, home of big cats, elephants and endangered black rhinos. Your tented camp is tucked into the Northern Frontier District, in a private wildlife conservancy and rhino sanctuary. Take to the bush this afternoon, watching closely for indigenous northern species, such as the beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra and the unusual long-necked gerenuk, which stands on its hind legs to feed. Look, too, for Grant’s gazelle, dikdiks, elands and impala — they, along with majestic leopards and lions, roam the vast landscape. Day 5: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy | See Unique Species

Today, spend the morning and afternoon viewing game in this pristine conservancy. Whether you opt to set out in safari vehicles, on horseback or on foot, keep your eyes trained for lions, black and white rhinos, elephants, oryx and aquatic sitatunga — a swamp-dwelling antelope. Day 6: Nanyuki | Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club

Drive to Nanyuki, stopping en route at Nanyuki Spinners and Weavers, a project aimed at empowering women to enjoy sustainable livelihoods. Arrive at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club for an afternoon at leisure. Relax or enjoy activities including horseback riding, golf, croquet, table tennis and trout fishing. Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve | Tented Luxury

Fly across the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, site of your tranquil, award-winning luxury camp. It features 14 elegant tents with verandas affording uninterrupted views of a hippo-populated, private stretch of the Mara River. Take a late-afternoon game drive, and return to camp for dinner. Days 8-9: Masai Mara Game Reserve | Stunning Safari Drives

Over the next two days, intersect the boundless plains by safari vehicle. The Masai Mara, an essential part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem, hosts the annual wildebeest migration. Never short on thrills, this quintessential landscape of rolling grasslands and acacia savannas hosts the largest lion population, as well as zebras, spotted hyenas, black-backed jackals, hippos, giraffes, elands and wildebeests.
